2013 South Carolina Swimming All-State Spring Meetings

Who: All registered members of South Carolina Swimming are invited to attend. 

During the day on Saturday, there will be committee meetings and clinics at the Baxter Hood Center in Rock Hill.  On Saturday evening, there will be plenty of fun featuring a dinner and awards presentations and a dance until 11PM.  Come out and celebrate with fellow swim families, coaches, and athletes – chaperones will be on hand. 

Sunday morning will begin with a free athlete breakfast at the Upper Palmetto YMCA Aquatics Center, followed by a board of directors meeting and house of delegates to finish off the weekend.

When:April 20-21, 2013.  Saturday meetings and clinics begin at 9AM.  Banquet registration/check-in begins at 6:00pm.  Dinner begins at about 6:30pm.  Dance until 11PM.  Sunday morning athlete breakfast begins at 8AM.  Meetings continue at 10AM until about 3PM on Sunday.

Banquet Cost: NO CHARGE for Coaches, USA Swimming Registered Swimmers receiving All-State Gifts, and SCLSC Board Members. $10 per person for all other USA Swimming Registered Swimmers. $20 per person for all non-swimmers.  You may only register through your team, so contact your Coach or Team Administrator for more information.

Dress: Dressy casual for banquet/dance.  Casual for all other meetings and activities.

A GIFT will be given to each swimmer who achieved one of the following: AAA Times in two events, first time Sr. Sectional Qualifiers, Graduating Seniors, and recipient of the Jennifer Smith Award.

These swimmers will be HONORED, but not receive a gift: State Champions, State Relay Champions, Open Water State Champions, SC Zone Team Members, Sr. National Qualifiers, New State Record holders, National Top 10 Times, and those recieving the 8&U award.

Deadline: Registration deadline is Wednesday April 10, 2013.

SATURDAY ACTIVITY:  The SCLSC will provide transportation for All-State attendees who would like to go to Carowinds on Saturday April 20, 2013.  A bus will leave the Hood Center at 10AM.  The bus will depart Carowinds at 4PM.  Each person would be responsible for admission (group rate).  Also, since this is not an official SCLSC function, there will be no chaparones provided.  This is similar to what was done several years ago when All-State was in Rock Hill.
